Grown with Attitude, Harvested with Gratitude
Our story does not begin with us. Rather, our story begins with our immigrant parents and grandparents whose hard work and devotion to family has made this American dream possible. Our gratitude is reflected in our name, our label, and the Latin inscription on the back of each bottle of GRATUS wine. We are truly thankful.
A family endeavor from its inception, GRATUS Vineyards has been transformed through acts of kindness and labors of love into a true horticultural paradise, boasting lush vines, hundreds of species of trees and an impressive reference garden of rare and endangered conifers.
Historically important, this site was the winter residence of Native Americans in the pre-Columbian era, who hunted and fished along Pope Creek coursing through the property. A state protected “midden” of archaeological significance is part of your tour.
When our owners first espied this unique site, they were struck by its natural beauty and vowed to plant the best vines and trees, work to grow the most luscious fruit, and aspire to make the most delicious wines unique to the valley.
